The jurors that are to decide the fate of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev submitted two questions to the judge.
CNN noted that the first question was about whether or not a conspiracy pertains to one event or a series of events.
"Conspiracy is an agreement between two people to commit unlawful acts," Judge George O'Toole answered. "The scope of a conspiracy and the duration of a conspiracy are questions of fact for you to determine."
Their other question was asking what the difference is between aiding and abetting.
Judge O’ Toole said that they are a single concept and to aid and abet another is to intentionally be of assistance in committing a crime.
As previously reported, the jury began deliberations began on Tuesday. They deliberated for about seven hours before concluding and submitted the questions on Wednesday.
On April 15, 2013, two pressure cooker bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killing three people and injuring more than 260 others. Tsarnaev and his older brother, Tamerlan, are accused of detonating the explosives. The elder suspect was killed during a shootout with police in the days following. A manhunt then ensued for the 21-year-old suspect before he was apprehended.
Of the 30 criminal charges that Tsarnaev faces, 17 are eligible for the death penalty.
