Leona Lewis has possibly signed with Def Jam Recordings ahead of her next album release. The speculation began on Twitter when Lewis posted a picture of herself on Twitter wearing a jacket with the Def Jam logo across it.

Contact Music reported that she made the change ahead of releasing her fifth studio album, I Am.

Lewis had originally been working on Simon Cowell's Syco label but left last year back in June. She later signed onto a four album deal with Universal. Def Jam Recordings is a division of Universal in the United States.

The "Bleeding Love" singer recently performed a showcase in London which debuted new music from her upcoming album. The Express reviewed the showcased and said that this is a new side of Lewis, gone are the days of being over polished and a part of the Cowell music machine. The outlet said that her personal change is astounding and “Gone is the uncomfortable, uncommunicative girl, restricted by bodycon dresses and the stultifying pop machine."
