Lil' Wayne is still have strong feelings towards Cash Money records. Months ago he opened up about his ongoing frustration with the label, which had delayed his album and owed him money, now Wayne took direct shots at the label on stage.
It was on a tour stop in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday night that Wayne told the crowd that he was going to release new music soon and "F–k Cash Money," MTV reported.
After Wayne made that statement he dropped the mic and walked off stage.
Last year Wayne took to Twitter and explained that he wanted nothing to do with Cash Money Records or Birdman. He filed a $51 million lawsuit against the label after his public announcement.
The upcoming album, Free Weezy, is expected to be release later this month, Music Times reported. If the album is released, this will mark the second Wayne project to be released. He recently released Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape back in January.
