Lilly Pulitzer offers customers special gift at retail stores after Target fiasco

Lilly Pulitzer’s collection for Target was in such high demand that it almost sold out within hours of its release this past weekend.

The merchandise quickly flew off the shelves both in stores and online upon its release on Sunday. As we previously reported, Target’s website even temporarily crashed.

On Sunday, Target responded by tweeting, “We know you're frustrated & we're sorry. We appreciate your patience” and now Lilly Pulitzer is now responding.

On their social media accounts, the brand has offered their customers a “mystery gift” with one purchase at any of their retail stores in exchange for any headache they might have experienced trying to get their hands on their Target collection.

“As usual, you have blown us away with your dedication to the brand! Currently the Lilly for Target collection is nearly sold out on Target.com but there is some availability at Target stores,” they wrote on Facebook. “If you didn’t get what you were looking for, here's a little sunshine we're spreading your way: visit lillypulitzer.com or any Lilly Pulitzer retail location today or tomorrow and receive a MYSTERY GIFT with any purchase."
