A Michigan man has been charged with the murders of his wife and two young children after authorities found the deceased victims in the family’s Eastpointe home Monday night.

WWJ reported that Timothy Fradeneck, 38, has been charged with the murders of his wife Christie 37, daughter 2-year-old Celeste and son 8-year-old Timothy. They were each allegedly strangled by Fradeneck with a USB cord.

The grim discovery was made when officers went to the house for a welfare check and the suspect answered the door.

Police have not yet released a possible murder for the horrific crime.

“For some reason he had been contemplating this, and told them he had been contemplating this, and went down the line and murdered all three of them,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith. “So, whatever his defense is is immaterial to me at this time and we’ll deal with that in court … but right now we feel pretty confident with all of our charges.”

The Associated Press noted that during his arraignment on Wednesday, Fradeneck admitted to the killings and said he wanted to plead guilty by reason of insanity. The judge told him that any pleas should be discussed with his lawyer first. He was then denied bail.

Eastpointe is located in Macomb County and forms part of the Detroit Metro area and is bordered by 8 Mile Road on the north edge of the city.
