Sierra Sharry booked Kayli Rene Photography to take the picture of herself with her six-month old baby, Taos. Sharry asked photographer Kayli Henley if she would be interested in playing around with the photo to edit in a picture of the baby’s father, Lane Smith.
It turns out that Smith had died in July 2014 from an ATV accident. Sharry was eight months pregnant at the time.
“My heart just dropped. I mean, it was just an amazing thing to see,” Sharry told News9 of the final product. The picture shows her holding a smiling Taos, with an image of Smith looking over her shoulder. The picture of Smith came from the couple’s pregnancy announcement.

Henley shared the photo on Facebook on Wednesday. Since then, it has gained over 200,000 likes, along with 26,000 shares.
