A restaurant owner in the Oklahoma City area noticed someone going through her dumpster, specifically looking for food. So, she decided to do the nicest thing possible and is offering the person a free meal.
Ashley Jiron, who owns P.B. Jams in Warr Acres, Oklahoma, noticed that some bags were torn open, with food taken out. She couldn’t just ignore that and knew she had to do something, she told KFOR.
So, she posted a sign, which can be seen on her Facebook page, which tells the person that they are a “human being and worth more than a meal for a dumpster.” If the person comes in, he or she will get a PB&J sandwich, fresh vegetables and a cup of water for free. “No questions asked,” she wrote.
“I will not take down that sign until they come in,” Jiron told KFOR.
Jiron opened P.B. Jams a few months ago, but just noticed that food was taken from the dumpster this week. And even though she understands pride might keep the person from taking the free meal, she really wants him or her to come in.
Since Jiron’s efforts to find the person have gone viral, the Facebook post has been liked over 1,300 times and has been shared 430 times.
Warr Acres/Bethany friends: If you happen to see the person, please stop and tell them this for me. I will NOT take...
