The teaser for The Hateful Eight, which Quentin Tarantino has decided to make after all, has hit the web. However, there is one catch: there is no actual clips from the film.
Plus, this isn’t actually a new teaser. As The Film Stage points out, this is the same teaser that was shown before Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. This is just the first time that it has hit the web officially.
The teaser looks more like an extended, animated title card, which of course recalls the opening to Sergio Leone’s A Fistfull of Dollars or The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. It features Iggy and the Stooges’ “Gimme Danger.”
It does list the name of the characters and they all sound like names you would think Tarantino would come up with. The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Tim Roth, Demian Bichir, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern and Channing Tatum.
Production on the project didn’t start until January. The film will likely hit theaters in time for the 2015 awards season and will be released in the 70mm format.
