The Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday that Sabra Dipping Co. has recalled some 30,000 tubs of hummus over fears of Listeria.

Good Morning America reported that the FDA said that the possible Listeria contamination was discovered during a sampling test last week at a Michigan grocery store.

“The potential for contamination was discovered when a routine, random sample collected at a retail location on March 30th, 2015 by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes,” a statement on the FDA’s website read.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that Listeria is a food-borne illness. Some of the symptoms include fever, headaches, stiffness, nausea abdominal pain and diarrhea. The infection can be fatal for older adults, pregnant women, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems.

The company said the recall is limited to five product codes of Classic Hummus sold in the U.S. and the “Use by Dates” are May 11, 2015.

Anyone who purchased the product should return it to the retailer where they bought it for a full refund.
