A group of Swedish police officers touring the city of New York on their vacation ended up breaking up a subway fight.
The New York Post reported that four Scandinavian cops broke up the fight between two men on a subway train during rush hour. The fight had apparently got so out of control that the conductor stopped the train at the station and asked if there were any police officers on board.
The two men were rolling around the floor of the northbound 6 train around 5 p.m. Wednesday when the Swedes stopped it and subdued them.
The foreign officers were identified as Samuel Kvarzell, Markus Asberg, Eric Jansberger and Erik Naslund.
DNAinfo noted that two of the officers grabbed the men's legs, while the other two held down their arms.
"One of the guys tried to wrestle us so [we] wrestled him to the floor until the police came," Kvarzell said. "They were screaming."
The Swedish police officers insisted that they are not heroes and were just doing their job, but they were recognized for their efforts back home.
