The Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection was a huge success for the brand, with merchandise selling out online and in stores almost instantly.
Unfortunately, most customers were left empty-handed upon the affordable line’s Sunday release, which prompted Lilly Puliter to offer a damage-control olive branch to customers.
However, those who are still hell-bent on getting their hands on the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection can still buy it on eBay. Some eBay users are selling the merchandise for double the amount of money Target sold it for.
A spokesperson for Target, Joshua Thomas told USA Today these mark-ups are "really disappointing.”
For example, in one of the more extreme cases, a maxi dress sold at Target for $35 now has a "buy it now" price of $325 on eBay. Their Weekender Bag was sold for $50 at Target and the "buy it now" price is set at $125 on eBay.
