Country music superstar, Tim McGraw will be performing at a benefit concert which will help raise money for the Sandy Hook Promise and for the protection of children against gun violence.
Rolling Stone reported that the show will be taking place on July 17th at XFinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut.
Sandy Hook Promise was started after 20-first grade students and six adults were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School back in December of 2012. This was the deadliest grade school shooting in the history of the United States.
McGraw who will be joined by Billy Currington and Chase Bryant, will donate 100 percent of the profits to the Sandy Hook Promise.
McGraw released a statement regarding the concert and why he felt it was so important to get involved. "Out of this tragedy a group was formed that made a promise to honor the lives lost and turn it into a moment of transformation. Sandy Hook Promise teaches that we can do something to protect our children from gun violence. I want to be a part of that promise — as a father and as a friend."
