When he uncovers a plan to rob the casino, he makes it his mission to keep everyone safe and thwart the thieves. Kevin James stars in the PG adventure comedy sequel. On the anniversary a teen girl’s death, a group of friends are tormented by an anonymous Skype user in Unfriended. The mysterious computer stalker refuses to let the friends sign off unless one of them admits to posting the embarrassing video which caused the teenager to commit suicide a year earlier. The horror film runs for one hour and twenty-two minutes. It’s rated R for violence, language, sex and drugs.
Get an up close and personal look at primates who live inside southeast Asia’s ancient ruins in Monkey Kingdom. The one hour and twenty-two minute documentary follows a mother Temple Troop monkey and her family as they try to reclaim their home from their rivals while also battling predators. The G-rated, Disneynature film is narrated by Tina Fey.
Upon his arrest, an accused murderer claims to be a former New York Times reporter in True Story. The man whose identity is stolen investigates the crime, in search of the truth behind the killings. James Franco, Jonah Hill and Felicity Jones star in the limited released dramatic thriller. The one hour and forty minute film is rated R for language.
A serial killer is on the loose and targeting young boys in Child 44. Set in Soviet Russia in the 1950’s, a former secret police agent goes on a mission to find the murderer despite the government’s insistence that there is no crime. The two hour and seventeen minute dramatic thriller is rated R for violence, language and sex.
A young man is left in the desert to die in Beyond the Reach. Hired by a rich businessman as a guide, he becomes a liability when the wealthy man accidentally kills someone. Now, as the only witness to the murder, he has a target on his back. Michael Douglas and Jeremy Irvine star in the limited released thriller. The suspense film runs for one hour and thirty-five minutes and is rated R for violence.
A workaholic lawyer tries to start anew after her husband leaves her in Alex of Venice. With her marriage ending, she struggles with being on her own and parenting her son while working on a career-defining case. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Derek Luke and Don Johnson star in the limited released drama. The one hour and twenty-six minute film is rated R for language, sex and drugs.
A talented young golfer gets caught up in the world of gambling in The Squeeze. He is persuaded to abandon his dreams of a professional career to use his extraordinary golf skills in high stakes betting. He finds himself in a deadly predicament when a mob-connected gambler tells him his life is on the line if he doesn’t lose the following day’s match while another powerful man says he’s dead if he doesn’t win. The PG-13 comedic drama is based on real events. It’s playing in limited theaters for one hour and thirty-three minutes.
A space probe carrying alien specimens crashes into earth in Monsters: Dark Continent. The creatures, now loose in Central America and Mexico, pose a threat to humanity. A scared tourist, traveling in an infected area, gets help from a journalist to cross the US-Mexican border to safety. The sci-fi thriller is running in limited theaters for one hour and fifty-nine minutes. It’s rated R violence, language, sex, nudity and drugs.
A teenager seeks revenge for his father’s murder and honor for his family and tribe in The Dead Lands. He ventures into a treacherous, off-limits area, battling dangerous enemies along the way, in order to join forces with the savage, skillful Warrior. The limited released adventure film runs for one hour and forty-eight minutes. It’s rated R for violence.
More thrills are coming to theaters next week with the release of John Travolta’s The Forger. Harrison Ford and Russell Crowe also have new films premiering on April 24.
