The Manhattan skyline has changed significantly in 515 years and those changes will be put on display during a remarkable time-lapse video that will be shown in elevators to 1 World Trade Center’s observatory.

The video lasts just 47 seconds and shows how New York City has changed since the 1500s. It will be unveiled in the five elevators to the 102nd floor next month, reports The New York Times, which shared the video.

It does include a brief glimpse of the old 1 World Trade Center, but it lasts just four seconds before dissolving. David W. Checketts, the CEO of Legends Hospitality, which was chosen to operate the observatory, told the Times that they could not avoid including the old World Trade Center.

“The event is certainly a key part of history,” Checketts said of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. “We did not think you could ignore it. Having it appear in the year it did and disappear in the year it did was the respectful way of addressing the fact that it was part of the landscape.”

The three-level observatory opens on May 29. You can already buy tickets at OneWorldObservatory.com. It’s $32 for adults, $30 for seniors and $26 for children.
