A shocking story about the oldest child of 19 Kids and Counting stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Josh Duggar, just got even more shocking.
As we previously reported, Jim Bob turned Josh into police around 2005 for alleged “inappropriate touching” of a minor. Due to “technicalities,” the statute of limitations has run out on the case and Josh can’t be charged.
According to TMZ, it wasn’t just the one girl Josh was caught with, there were actually five girls involved and some of them were his own sisters.
In some cases they were asleep and in others they participated, but he allegedly fondled their genitals and breasts. When he was caught again months later, instead of contacting authorities Jim Bob consulted with the leaders of the family’s church and sent Josh away.
In a police reported later filed, Michelle said it wasn’t a treatment center, they just put him to work. The report was filed due to a police investigation triggered by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios.
The Duggar family was scheduled for an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006 but when Harpo got tipped off about the case, they forwarded it to a sex abuse hotline and the investigation was launched.
Josh declined to speak with cops at the advice of his lawyers.
