Two people, including the gunman, are dead after a shooting inside a Walmart in Grand Forks, North Dakota on Tuesday morning.

WDAZ confirmed reports that three people were involved in the shooting including a Grand Forks Air Force Base Airman, however, the name of the gunman and victims have not yet been released.

In addition to the deceased, one person was injured and transported to a local hospital

Local police have not provided many details about the incident. The Associated Press noted that Lt. Derik Zimmel did say shots were fired inside the Walmart Supercenter around 1 a.m. He added that the gunman was the only person with a firearm and there is no further danger to the community.

"We do not believe there is any further risk to the public," Zimmel said.

The 24-hour store was placed on lockdown after the shooting as the Air Force Office of Special Investigations was called in to work the case along with Grand Forks law enforcement officials.
