Anheuser-Busch is doing their part when it comes to relief efforts for the severe flooding happening in Texas and Oklahoma, temporarily halting production on beer this week to aid in providing water for the victims.

As the death toll rises, production in Anheuser-Busch’s Cartersville, GA brewery has switched its focus to canning drinking water.

"Right now our production line is running emergency drinking water instead of beer," the brewery manager, Rob Haas, confirmed to NBC News.

The brewery partners with the American Red Cross in these types of emergency situations, with Hass explaining, "It's something we're uniquely positioned to do in a very timely period.”

About 2,000 cases of 24-packs have been shipped to flood victims to help with relief efforts.

Red Cross spokesman Jordan Scott said “there are a lot of folks in need” in Texas and Oklahoma and Anheuser-Busch’s efforts are “critical.”

As of this week, 17 people have been found dead and 13 are still unaccounted for after the holiday weekend storm that battered the South.
