A judge in Arkansas, where the investigation into Josh Duggar’s sexual abuse allegations took place, has ordered that the police records of the case be expunged.
Police in Springdale, Arkansas started to investigate these allegations in 2005 after being tipped off, though it happened in 2002 and 2003 when Duggar was a teenager.
“The judge ordered us yesterday to expunge that record," police spokesperson Scott Lewis told the New York Times of Judge Stacey Zimmerman. "As far as the Springdale Police Department is concerned this report doesn't exist."
Duggar has since called his actions “inexcusable” and wrote in a statement he “would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions.”
Mike Huckabee has defended him, calling the media “blood-thirsty” for “sensationalizing” the story.
