Blues guitarist B.B. King was back in the hospital Thursday and his daughter, Patty King, claims that he is being abused by his longtime manager, Laverne Toney.
Patty lives with the music legend in Las Vegas and spoke with TMZ today. She says that she was concerned about his health after she noticed that his urine was orange and he was not eating. She called police, who then called paramedics. They agreed that he needed to be taken to the hospital.
King, 89, suffered a minor heart attack, according to Patty. She gave TMZ a photo of King from Thursday and thinks that it should prove that something needs to be done to protect him from abuse.
In November, she filed an elder abuse claim with police, accusing Tuney and an assistant of stealing at least $20 million and jewelry from King and keeping him from taking his medicine while touring. However, authorities did not press charges.
Toney, who has power of attorney over King, didn’t comment. There was also no statement about his Thursday hospitalization on King’s Facebook page.
King was hospitalized in early April for diabetes-related symptoms.
