While we’re waiting to see Ben Affleck as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we will get to see him in a more realistic role in Warner Bros.’ The Accountant. That film, along with the upcoming Project X sequel, got a release date on Tuesday.
Affleck joined The Accountant in October and his co-stars include John Lithgow, Jeffrey Tambor and Anna Kendrick. Clearly the studio doesn’t have much faith in this being an awards contender, since it has been scheduled for Jan. 29, 2016.
The film was directed by Warrior’s Gavin O’Connor.
In addition, Warner Bros. has scheduled Project XX, the sequel to the surprise hit teen found footage party comedy, for Aug. 19, 2016. Hopefully, there will still be enough people who remember Project X to justify the sequel.
Next, Arms & The Dudes, a new film from The Hangover’s Todd Phillips with Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, hits theaters on March 11, 2016.
Deadline reports that Warner Bros. also changed the release dates for some untitled projects. An untitled horror movie was pushed back a week to Jan. 29, while another untitled movie has been completely taken off the schedule.
