A Florida principal was arrested after she was discovered in a student’s car with marijuana.

According to WFLA, Krista Morton, 45, has been charged with the possession of marijuana. She was found in the car with a senior from Mavericks High School where she is Principal and her shirt was apparently unbuttoned.

A witness had contacted police when they noticed suspicious activity in the vehicle around 5:45 pm on Wednesday. Police with North Palm Beach said, “The caller was unsure but thought that there were people in the back seat engaged in some sort of sexual activity or being attacked.”

A sergeant responded and Morton immediately claimed they were only “friends” and she had only “just met” the male she was with. However, her companion admitted he knew her as his principal.

Palm Beach Post reported cops who responded could smell marijuana in the car and a search revealed marijuana inside a plastic container.

Morton claimed she was not smoking.

The student and Morton were arrested. The school put Morton on suspension amid the ongoing investigation.
