This is a home-buyers dream … if you don’t mind typing an essay instead of bidding. For a 200-word essay and $150 you can own a two-bedroom, one-bathroom, 1,000 square-foot house in north Houston Heights.

Yes, it’s true, a nice bungalow in a great neighborhood for the low price and the essay is being sold by Michael Wachs, KTRK noted.

"It's a few minutes to downtown, it's super quiet at night,” Wachs said.
“There are bike trails, it's a great place to live.”

In order for this home to be yours, you must pay the $150 entry fee and submit the essay before June 13. The best essay will be chosen and the winner will get the home and pay the closing costs.

Click2Houston.com reported that the Harris County Appraisal District valued the home at around $400,000.

Wachs, who lives in the home with his wife and daughter, is a real-estate agent and knows he can make the market value for the house if he receives enough entries.

So far things aren’t looking too bad. He set up a website on Thursday for interested parties to submit their entries and at one point it actually crashed due to the amount of entries that came in.
