Kristen Stewart enjoyed surprising critical acclaim for her performance in French filmmaker Olivier Assayas’ Clouds of Sils Maria, so it shouldn’t be surprising that the two are working together again. The former Twilight star has joined Personal Shopper.

The new film was written by Assayas and also brings back other members of the Clouds of Sils Maria team. CG Cinema’s Charles Gilbert will be producing and MK2 is handling international sales for Les Films du Losange, reports Variety.

Gilbert told Variety that Personal Shopper has some of the same themes as Sils Maria, which starred Juliette Binoche as an actress who decides to take a part in a new production of the play that made her famous. Personal Shopper looks at a different profession and is set in the Paris fashion underworld. It will be filmed in English, starting later this year.

Stewart won Best Supporting Actress at the Cesar Awards, the French version of the Oscars, for her role in Sils Maria. She was the first American actress to ever win a competitive Cesar. Stewart was also recently seen in Still Alice, opposite Julianne Moore.

Assayas is best known to English audiences as the director of Carlos with Edgar Ramirez. He also helmed the acclaimed French family drama Summer Hours.
