In case it wasn’t clear while she was on the show, Mariah Carey really did not enjoy being on American Idol, especially with Nicki Minaj. The experiment was a disaster, leaving poor Keith Urban and Randy Jackson in the background. In a new interview, Carey made it even more clear that she never wants to have anything to do with Idol ever again.

In an interview with Kyle & Jackie O and Fitzy & Wippa on Australian radio Wednesday, Carey called Idol the “worst experience of my life.”

She went on to explain that the whole show was orchestrated to turn into a feud between her and Minaj.

“I’m not going to get into what it was, but let’s just say I don’t think they had any intentions for us to have a good experience doing that show. Pitting two females against each other wasn’t cool,” she said, notes USA Today. “It should have been about the contestants instead of about some nonexistent feud that turned into even more ridiculousness. I would never want to be involved with it again.”

So, the answer to your question is “No, Mariah Carey is definitely not going to make an appearance during Idol’s final season.” Fox announced earlier this month that Idol’s 15th season, which premieres in January, will be its last.

Carey is currently in the middle of her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
