Mariah Carey is currently under vocal rest and had to cancel her latest show in Las Vegas but the singer is still preparing for the upcoming Billboard Music Awards but without singing.
MTV reported that despite her vocal rest, Carey is still going through rehearsals with musical director Jim Wright. Wright is working hard on the performance and is encouraging Carey to keep resting her voice.
The singer posted on Instagram a picture of her and Wright getting ready for the show.
As previously reported, Mariah Carey was forced to cancel her performance on Wednesday night at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace because of a case of bronchitis. This was the first show that she had cancel during her Las Vegas residency.
Carey has a show scheduled on Saturday and she is expected to perform both in Las Vegas and at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
Next week, Carey will be releasing her greatest hits album, #1 to Infinity. The record features all 18 of her No. 1 singles, plus the new song "Infinity."
