Michael Moore caused a bit of an uproar on Thursday, taking to Twitter to call for the release of African American and poor, white nonviolent drug offenders from jail. He also demanded the police become disarmed.

He started the Twitter rant criticizing those who have suppressed African Americans but also allow them to entertain them.

“Imprison u, shoot u, sever your spine, crush your larynx, send u to war, keep u poor, call u a thug, not let u vote. But u can sing for us,” he wrote.

His “demands” come as unrest continues in Baltimore due to the riots over Freddie Gray’s death at the hands of police.

He called jails in the U.S. a “modern day slave system” and called for us to “disarm” all cops.

“Here's my demand: I want every African-American currently incarcerated for drug ‘crimes’ or nonviolent offenses released from prison today,” he wrote. “And the rest who r imprisoned- I dont believe 50% of them did what they're accused of. Lies. Greed. A modern day slave system. Poor whites 2.”

He continued, “Next demand: Disarm the police. We have a 1/4 billion 2nd amendment guns in our homes 4 protection. We'll survive til the right cops r hired.”

He then accused police of considering “The Black Man” their enemy.
