Whoever is working on the set of Suicide Squad to stop onlookers from taking video is doing a very poor job. Even more footage from the set surfaced on the web Wednesday, confirming that Batman does make some kind of appearance.
YouTube user Vinicius Castro uploaded scenes from last night’s shooting in Toronto. The purple Jokermobile is seen driving through the streets, with a stuntman in the Batman costume latched onto the back of the car.
The video follows the weekend leak of footage of the Jokermobile being chased by the new Batmobile. Earlier this month, footage that showed Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as the Joker in a confrontation surfaced. That video seemed pretty real, as Warner Bros. later pulled the clips off YouTube.
While it has been widely rumored that Ben Affleck would have a cameo as Batman in Suicide Squad, Warner Bros. never confirmed that, likely hoping to keep it a secret. Well, the secret is out.
Suicide Squad doesn’t hit theaters until Aug. 5, 2016 and is being directed by Fury’s David Ayer. In addition to Robbie and Leto, the film also stars Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne, who all play villains in the DC universe recruited to complete a dangerous mission.
Affleck will first be seen as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opens on March 25.
