The Foo Fighters will have the honor of being the last musical guest to perform on The Late Show With David Letterman. The band will be playing during the final broadcast on Wednesday night. Letterman has often referred to the rock 'n' roll group as his favorite musical act.
Rolling Stone reported that the Foo Fighters and Letterman have been friends for a while. The band was featured on the show for an entire week promoting their latest album and HBO documentary Sonic Highways.
The Foo Fighters are joining some highly profiled musical company, yesterday Bob Dylan took to the late night stage to perform “The Night We Called It a Day."
This final season of Letterman has featured a variety of musical acts and celebrities including Bill Murray making his 44th appearance on the show. Murray was one of the fist major actors to make an appearance on the late night talk show, Marketwatch added.
