Being a successful DJ doesn’t happen overnight. That’s a lesson Zac Efron has to learn in We Are Your Friends, which just got a trailer today.
The Studio Canal/Working Title production stars Efron as Cole, a wannabe DJ hoping to earn a living putting together music for parties. Wes Bentley stars as an older DJ mentor, while Emily Ratajkowski stars as Cole’s romantic interest.
We Are Your Friends marks the feature directing debut of Max Joseph, the co-star of MTV’s Catfish. Joseph co-wrote the script with Meaghan Oppenheimer, based on a story by Richard Silverman.
The film, which is being distributed by Warner Bros., hits theaters on Aug. 28.
