Even though it doesn’t come out for over a year, Universal released the first trailer for The Secret Life of Pets, another film from their in-house animation studio, Illumination.
The teaser looks more like animation that might not land in the final film, as it is just a montage that shows off what our pets do when we leave for work - or at least what the human animators behind the movie think our pets do.
It laos shows off the incredible voice cast for the film, which includes Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Albert Brooks, Lake Bell, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Bobby Moynihan and Hannibal Buress.
As Variety points out, DEspicable Me director Chris Renaud is directing, with Yarrow Cheney as co-director. Brian Lynch, Cinco Paul and Kan Darino wrote the script.
Secret Life doesn’t hit theaters until July 8, but you can see Illumination’s next film in a few weeks. Minions opens on July 10.
