Alicia Vikander, who broke out with an acclaimed performance in Ex Machina, is turning that success into a big franchise gig. She’s officially joined the new Jason Bourne film, which will return Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass to the saga.

The casting was confirmed by Deadline and comes just a few days after Julia Stiles officially came back to reprise her role from the first three Bourne movies. Viggo Mortensen is also reportedly in talks to play a villain.

Vikander caught the attention of audiences in Ex Machina and her past previous credits include A Royal Affair, Anna Karenina and The Fifth Estate. She also stars in Testament of Youth with Kit Harington, Tom Hooper’s upcoming The Danish Girl and Warner Bros.’ The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. She also has a part in Adam Jones with Bradley Cooper and The Light Between Oceans with Michael Fassbender.

With all these projects that are either finished or finishing up, Vikander will have to drop out of some others. She’s probably not going to be able to make The Circle with Tom Hanks and definitely has to drop out of Assassin’s Creed with Fassbender.

The new Bourne movie will be the fifth overall in the franchise, but third with Damon. Greengrass is directing from a script written with Christopher Rouse. Frank Marshall is producing the Universal release.
