June ‘Mama’ Shannon’s daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell, has sued her mom for allegedly pocketing all of the money she earned on TLC’s now-canceled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Cardwell claims she’s owed around $200,000 for appearing on the reality show and her 2-year-old daughter Kaitlyn is owed around $100,000.
In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Cardwell cited both her name and her daughter’s name as plaintiffs, accusing Shannon of keeping all of the $22,500 the family earned per episode. Cardwell also wants a cut of the royalties for promotional gigs and the family’s cookbook.
Cardwell included the network in the lawsuit, claiming they had a responsibility to ensure the money got dispersed evenly.
Shannon will respond to the lawsuit in a countersuit on Thursday, TMZ reports, claiming her mother Sandra Hale and her boyfriend bullied Cardwell into filing.
In a text message Cardwell sent to another family member she writes, “I did not hire the lawyer. My grandma did ... I know I can't get her money and that's what I tried to tell him [Sandra's boyfriend]."
Shannon is also providing more evidence with a text she received from Cardwell that reads, “I never really talked to [the lawyer] cause my grandma boyfriend talked the whole time and then kicked me out so he could talk to the guy. So Idk what was said behind closed door.”
Shannon is adamant Cardwell got her cut of the money from TLC, who deliberately set up accounts for each member of the family and made sure the money got directly deposited.
