After Daniel Radcliffe had his own horror hit with The Woman In Black, it looks like his Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson is hoping for one as well. Her next film is Regression, which also stars Ethan Hawke and got a new trailer this week.
Regression was directed by Alejandro Amenabar, who made The Others with Nicole Kidman and the Oscar-winning The Sea Inside. Here, he directs Watson in the story of a young girl who accuses her father (David Dencik) of sexual abuse. Although he admits to it, he doesn’t remember doing it.
Hawke stars as the detective on the case, while Watson’s Harry Potter co-star David Thewlis plays a psychologist who gets involved. There’s clearly some supernatural element in there that is not making it easy to understand what’s going on.
Regression hits theaters on Aug. 28.
