Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for his revenge-heavy action features, including next week's Terminator Genisys, but the actor's next vehicle looks to be a little more dramatic than his usual fare. Arnie decided his next project will be the dark revenge drama 478.

From a screenplay by Javier Gullon (Enemy), Schwarzenegger stars a family man who lost both his wife and child in a plane crash, and finds the main character determined to seek justice for their unneeded deaths when it is revealed their causalities were caused by an air traffic controller's mistake. Although known for his action turns, this is strictly a character piece. That may seem weird to some, but not highly unusual as of lat. The actor turned in a reportedly strong dramatic turn in Maggie earlier this year, and wants to push himself into more dramatic roles as he gets deeper into the later years of his life.

478 comes from producer Darren Aronofsky, through his banner Protozoa. The plans are to begin production this fall, just as Schwarzenegger is finished up with promotions and whatnot for his soon-released Terminator sequel. Producers on The Legend of Conan also want Schwarzenegger strapped up and ready to play their titular character this fall too, but nothing official came from that yet. It seems they, and Universal, are still waiting to see what bank Terminator: Genisys makes, if much at all.

While The Last Stand was a fun, if mild, return-to-form on screen from the former Governator, Schwarzenegger's acting return hasn't quite produced many memorable, let alone good, movies of late between mediocre efforts like Escape Plan or poor ones like Sabotage and The Expendables 3. I haven't gotten to see Maggie yet, but I want to see Schwarznegger expand himself as an actor — especially if he has the chops to pull it off — and hopefully that, and this new movie, give him the chance, particularly if the musclemen efforts aren't necessarily calling him back anymore.
