Chipotle is implementing new benefits for entry level workers who get paid by the hour, according to recruitment strategy manager J.D. Cummings.

Among those benefits will be paid vacations as well as the opportunity for tuition reimbursement.

The new perks will officially start on July 1 and Chipotle hopes to recruit more of their "target demographic" with them, which are high school and college students.

Restaurant News reports Cummings and William Espey, Chipotle’s brand voice lead in the company’s marketing division, made the announcement during a presentation at a conference in Dallas, Texas last week.

“We just made an announcement internally that we are now going to be offering sick pay and paid vacation time for all employees at all levels of the company, including all entry-level employees” Cummings said. “And we’re going to be offering the tuition reimbursement that we offer salaried employees to all hourly employees.”

With their investment in employees, they hope to “keep them with us” for years to come and open their eyes to further opportunities within the company they might not have realized were available to them.

CNN Money reports Cummings also said, "You've got to promise them a future that if they are dedicated and good and strong for the company, you are going to reward them."
