It doesn’t seem to be a good start to the summer season for Coney Island, particularly the Cyclone rollercoaster ride.

Not even three months after the ride got stuck on opening day, the 88-year-old ride screeched to a halt and broke down just before the big drop, causing riders to get out of the cars, and walk back down.

“Luckily, it stopped before the big drop. … We were mildly concerned, sure,” Michael Osborn said to New York Post. “That [the walk off the Cyclone] was worse than the stop. The ladder – the rungs aren’t too stable.”

Luckily, there have been no reports of any injury, according to NBC New York.

The Post reports that 24 people were stuck on the ride for about five minutes, which was less than when this happened in March. 12 riders were stuck that time for 10 minutes, and had to walk hand-in-hand with rescuers to the bottom.

Officials for Luna Park in Coney Island have said that the ride is back up-and-running after being repaired and inspected, notes NBC New York.
