It’s rumored that Katy Perry will be releasing a song about Taylor Swift in retaliation to Swift's current hit song, “Bad Blood.”
Perry, who has a new album coming out next year, reportedly has a song called “1984” that she wrote in response to Swift that pokes fun at Swfit's album 1989.
Perry was born in 1984, just as Swift was born in 1989.
The “Roar” singer has previously commented on "Bad Blood," saying, “If somebody is trying to defame my character, you're going to hear about it,” and she’s now rumored to be following through with that statement.
Nylon reports Perry has registered the song already but the lyrics have not been revealed just yet.
Their feud started when Swift told Rolling Stone that a fellow pop star, later revealed as Perry, tried to “sabotage” her tour.
“She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour,” she said. “She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."
Swift also said during the interview that it wasn’t just that isolated incident that put them on bad terms. “For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'" she said.
