Ed Sheeran is known for his indie rock and soulful sound but during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he proved that he could transform rap and heavy metal into light hearted pop songs.

In the sketch, Jimmy Fallon was promoting a fake release of Ed Sheeran Sings Heavy Metal. The album was explained as a collection of 25 "dark, most skull crushing songs ever written. Sheeran performed Iron Maiden’s "Run to the Hills" and Limp Bizkit’s"Break Stuff." That wasn't all that fans got to hear on the Tonight Show, Sheeran also sang a version of Ty Dolla $ign’s “Paranoid."

Both Fallon and Sheeran had a hard time getting through the mock advertisement without laughing but Sheeran managed to take these hard hitting songs and create new pop singles.

Sheeran also talked to Fallon about his tour wrapping up in North America and that Beyonce and Jay-Z attended one of his concerts and after the show, they all went to dive bar and ate pizza. "They're the coolest, coolest people, just open to whatever," said Sheeran.
