Nashville will be losing a key cast member next season. Eric Close will not be returning as a series regular for the fourth season. Close plays Theodore 'Teddy' Conrad on the musical drama.
The reason that Close will not be returning is over creative differences between himself and those who create the hit country drama Ace Showbiz added.
The AV Club added that many sources close to the show are saying that Nashville will be focusing more on the music industry and keep that as the main storyline. Nashville currently stars Hayden Panettiere, Connie Britton, Clare Bowen and Charles Esten.
Close is expected to be returning to another popular drama, USA's Suits, to reprise his role of Travis Tanner for the upcoming fifth season of the legal drama. The Nashville star has also been making a transition into motion pictures, being seen in last year's Oscar nominated American Sniper.
