Ezra Miller, who will be DC Comics’ big-screen Flash, is also in talks to join another Warner Bros. franchise. He could get the second male lead in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Miller is in very early talks for the role of Kredan, sources told Variety. He would join Eddie Redmayne, who plays the main character, Newt Scamander, and Katherine Waterston, who is playing the American witch Tina.
There are two roles left for Warner Bros., director David Yates and writer J.K. Rowling to cast - Tina’s younger sister and Scamander’s rival. Variety claims that Alison Sudol (USA Network’s Dig) is being considered for Tina’s sister, while Michael Cera or Josh Gad are being considered for the rival role.
Fantastic Beasts takes place 70 years before the Harry Potter saga and is set in the U.S., with Scamander on a journey to discover (ahem) fantastic beasts and where to find them.
After starring in The Perks of Being a Wallflower and We Need To Talk About Kevin, Miller is right on the cusp of becoming an even bigger star. He will make his debut as The Flash in Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice. But before that, you can catch him in a small - but hilarious - part in Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck next month.
