Looks like Hugh Jackman will be sticking with the role of Wolverine for longer than expected.

Accoring to Den of Geek, Hugh Jackman will officially be in X-Men: Apocalypse. His involvement was revealed when a company called Kika NY posted on Instagram that they were making a leather backpack for Hugh Jackman, who's filming the new X-Men movie. The post was later removed, probably at the request of the studio.

Hugh Jackman announced a few months ago that he'd be playing Wolverine one final time in The Wolverine 2, as we previously reported. Technically this doesn't contradict that, though, since Apocalypsewill be released a year prior to the new Wolverine film.

So that Wolverine movie will still be Jackman's final time playing the character, but that doesn't mean we only have one more Wolverine appearance to look forward to.

X-Men: Apocalypse is currently filming in Montreal and will be released on May 27, 2016. It will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Oscar Isaac.
