What do Jack Huston and Luke Evans have in common? The two actors have both left Relativity’s The Crow remake. Huston was supposed to play the part Brandon Lee had in the original 1994 film, but has left due to scheduling issues.

The news was first reported by Variety and confirmed in a statement by Relativity Studios. According to the site, Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Jack O’Connell (Unbroken) are being considered as potential replacements. However, considering their own packed schedules, it seems like it would be hard to get either of them.

“Jack Huston is unfortunately unavailable to continue with us on The Crow,” director Corin Hardy told Variety. “The Crow is an amazing project, and I am grateful that we have the time and patience to get it right. We look forward to unveiling our new lead and starting to film over the next several weeks.”

Evans dropped out of the film early this year and Huston joined in March. Andrea Riseborough (Birdman) joined the project in May and still appears to be onboard.

Huston, best known for parts in American Hustle and Boardwalk Empire, is currently filming MGM’s Ben-Hur remake and will next start Pride And Prejudice And Zombies. It makes one wonder why he ever signed on to the project in the first place.
