Universal released the first trailer for Everest, the new all-star adventure movie with Jake Gyllenhaal. Based on the trailer, it looks like the more challenging aspect of climbing the tallest mountain in the world is getting down, never mind reaching the top.

The film centers on a 1996 incident, in which climbers got stuck on the mountain during a blizzard. While it looks like some made it to the top of the mountain, it was difficult to reach safety during the storm. It was the deadliest incident on the mountain until the April 2014 avalanche that killed 16 guides and the 18 deaths on the mountain during April earthquake.

Director Baltasar Kormakur (2 Guns) assembled a stellar cast for the project. Gyllenhaal’s costars include Josh Brolin, Robin Wright, Jason Clarke, John Hawkes, Emily Watson, Sam Worthington and Keira Knightley.

Everest will hit theaters on Sept. 18 in 3D and IMAX. At the end of the trailer, Universal urges viewers to support earthquake relief at OxfamAmerica.org.
