One man was beheaded and two other people were injured after an apparent terrorist attack at an Air Products and Chemical factory in France on Friday morning.

The Associated Press reported that around 10 a.m. local time, a car rammed the Air Products building in Saint-Quentin Fallavier and set off an explosion when the vehicle hit gas canisters.

CNN noted that French President Francois Hollande told media members that police apprehended the suspect and found a severed head along with flags and a message scrawled in Arabic at the scene.

The American Air Products firm meanwhile said that all of its employees have been accounted for and that the severed head was not from a worker at the facility.

"The site is secure,” the company said in a statement. “Our crisis and emergency response teams have been activated and are working closely with all relevant authorities."

Air Products, which sells industrial gases to businesses, was found in 1940 and today has more than 20,000 employees.
