Amazing video has emerged of a man in Brazil, who underwent brain surgery to have a tumor removed, playing the Beatles on his guitar while doctors worked on him.
The Telegraph reported that Anthony Kulkamp Dias, 33, performed the Beatles song “Yesterday” and a few other tunes during the major surgery.
“I played six songs at certain times,” he said. “My right hand was a bit weaker because that was the side that they were operating on. So I stopped and rested. I was interspersing songs and talking with them.”
Now, for anyone who is scratching their head wondering how something like this is even possible the Washington Post noted that this specific procedure required Dias to be awake.
Patients actually have to speak or hold conversations so the surgical team can safely map the brain. Most ask questions, but Dias took it to a whole new level and gave his doctors a free concert.
His surgery was a success.
