Bad news if you’re a guy who loves seeing Kate Upton in those Game of War commercials, but good news if you’re a Mariah Carey fan because the singer is set to take over that gig.
TMZ has reported that the “Vision of Love” singer will be replacing the model as the new face for the Game of War: Fire Age app.
Carey will be raking in a cool seven-figure contract for the 30-second spot, which will be shot over two days by Alan Taylor, who is director of the upcoming film Terminator Genisys.
There has not been any official word on the reason for the change and whether the 23-year-old Upton opted out or the creators just wanted a new face to promote the wildly popular video game.
Carey, 45, announced her residency at Caesar’s Palace earlier this year and has been busy playing shows there twice a week. She recently did a spot for Match.com to promote the video for her new song “Infinity” and her music is thought to be featured in the new commercial for the mobile game.
