Michael Giacchino had a large task being the composer on Jurassic World. He not only had to bring the movie to life through his music but had to following in the footsteps of John Williams. Giacchino explained on the red carpet at the World premiere about how the original score and Steven Spielberg film had impacted him and his now expanding career.
The original Williams theme was playing as the stars walked the red carpet. Giacchino was asked by USA Today to talk about his thoughts on the original score and film.
"What is better than that theme? It's like being in the most peaceful, wonderful place ever," said Giacchino. "I'll never forget sitting there, going 'Wow, this movie's gonna change everything.'"
Giacchino scored Jurassic World and explained that he wanted to expand on Williams theme will honoring it at the same time. The original Williams theme does appear in a key scene during the film.
As previously reported, World will take place years after the original film and will show what has happened now that the park is open.
Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Omar Sy.
