One of Paul Rudd’s biggest career accomplishments is starring in Marvel’s Ant-Man, but he revealed in a new interview that it didn’t exactly get the approval of his toughest critic; his 10-year-old son Jack.

Rudd shared that when he told Jack about starring as Ant-Man, he had a good laugh and told his famous dad how “stupid” it will be.

“When I told my own son that I was going to be in a super hero movie, he asked me what it was and I said I was going to be playing Ant-Man, and he was not impressed," Rudd told ET.

"What he actually said was, 'I can't wait to see how stupid that'll be,’” he said. “Swear to God, that's what he said."

Ant-Man hits theaters July 17 and hopefully Rudd, who’s also a co-writer alongside Adam McKay, can prove his son wrong.
