We've been hearing about a fifth Indiana Jones film for a while now, with the most recent rumor being that the movie would star Chris Pratt in the lead role, but now producer Frank Marshall is saying there are no current talks about the movie happening at the studio.

In an interview with Slashfilm, producer Frank Marshall said there haven't been any discussions about Chris Pratt taking over as Indiana Jones. When asked if that was just an Internet rumor, Marshall said, "Yeah. I mean, we’ve had no discussions on Indy 5 to date."

But meanwhile, Aint It Cool News is reporting that Indiana Jones 5 is indeed happening, and that Lucasfilm is penciling in a 2018 release date for the movie.

So what's going on here? Is the movie happening or not? Hopefully we'll get some sort of announcement soon, but while it seems pretty obvious that Disney will eventually do something with the Indiana Jones property, it seems like for now we're far from anything official.
