A 13-year-old girl who was involved in a schoolyard fight that left a toddler with injuries has been arrested.

The Associated Press reported that the juvenile was arrested after a video was released on June 19 showing the fight between the two girls, one of whom had been holding her 3-year-old cousin.

The girl is seen pulling the girl up from where she was sitting at a picnic table while the 14-year-old victim was still holding the child.

The victim and her cousin had minor injuries and it was the victim’s mother who reported the incident to the police.

Dallas Morning News reported that the video showed the victim was unwilling to fight and someone else urged someone to “Take the baby” since she wasn’t moving.

The suspect’s family turned her in and she faces charges of assault in causing bodily injury and an injury to a child charge, which is a third-degree felony.

Rowlett police were reportedly also looking into whether they could file charges against the person standing next to the suspect and another who said to get the child away.
